Bob & Nora Dohlke's Biography

Pic3.jpg

Bob and I married back in 1969. I had a front row seat to much of his military career. When my husband asked me to write his memoirs in a book I was extremely honored. , I wanted it to be all about his military career and very accurate, we spent many hours talking and he shared his military life. At times it was very emotional. I wanted the book to reflect what he went through and I do believe the book does just that. Many times it brought me tears as I remembered so many of the stories. My husband went through so much. Just as all of our military heroes do. As I was writing the book, I remembered all the times I would see him head out on a mission, many times not knowing  where he was going or when he would be back. Naturally, I spent a lot of time in prayer. I hope everyone enjoys the book Bob and I wrote. To all the men and women who serve or have served, I sincerely thank you for your service and sacrifice. This book is detailing some missions and events Bob had during the Vietnam War and my time in the Air Force and Air Commandos. Bob was raised in Minnesota and left at 18 years old to join the Air Force. During his time in the Air Force he was awarded the Distinguished Flyer Cross with V for Valor and many other air medals. We now live in Northern California with 6 children, 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
